An introductory training class for example will concentrate on basic kayak handling skills like bracing (supporting you balance) with the paddle, manouvering the boat effectively and safety.  Special training classes could focus on resque techniques and rolling. The distance paddled will be less since some exersizes require stopping and even paddling backwards.

 

For some tour settings we may require some proof of skills.  That is true especially when rough open sea and longer daytrips are expected.

Target ice breakup, April 2007 from Gullö island in Ekenäs, Finland

Ice breakup times are thrilling with its white ice blocks floating past and seabird gatherings.

Wormth of the springsun and chilly northern winds gives sharp contrasts. Water is often stiller and clearer. Moisty days dampens sounds to a magic quietness. We start from Gullö in the Ekenäs archipelago where slow currents consumes ice early. An experienced guide is with the group all the time. Bring outdoor dressing and dry clothes with you. We provide you with Kayak (paddle, lifejacket, sprayskirt), sauna, accommodation in the Cabin “Bränneriet” (fri – sa or sa – su), lunchsoup for Saturday and dinner for the evening of Friday resp. Saturday.

Price: 150 euro. Discounts for early and large bookings.
Booking: Report to us about your preference of Group A22 or A23 with contact details. Book at least two weeks in advance.
Number of participants: More than 5 participants need to enroll, maximum 10 participants.
Requirement: A participant should have some experience with kayaking.

Oday Your own paddlingday

Kayak, paddle, sprayskirt, lifejacket and an experienced kayaking guide/instructor with delicious lunch in the open is included in the package. The route can be freely chosen in the Ekenäs archipelago. This offering is valid for the month of may. The route and exact time is agreed when booking.

Price: 770 e/per group including vat 22%.
Note: This offer is valid until the end of April.

RasEke Raseborg - Ekenäs (saturdays in August 2006)

Minimum 10 persons, at most 20, starting time at 10 from the ruins of Raseborg castle, once the home of pirates, and arrival in Ekenäs approximately 15.00 hours. The price includes a kayak, paddle, sprayskirt, lifejacket and guide. Transportation from the Tammisaari Camping in the morning is included. We will have a picknickpause midway for the whole group. Bring your own sandwiches or order a package for 6 euros. Dinking bottle, cap and spare clothes are recommended. Registration fee is to be paid in advance on our account. Bring with you: You may arrive in your suite to say you do not need to bring anything to the shore where a fully equipped kayak, food and clothing will be waiting for you. You will be met both on departure and on return. This can be arranged for two people.
You get: A fully equipped kayak for one owernight stay and two full days and short briefing.
You can do: Paddle to an island of your choice, cook your food sleep in a tent and return during the following day.
Price: 180 euro/person including vat 22%.
Extras: Transportation, guide and kayaking instructor on request.
