Paddlingsfabriken arranges tours to the Ekenäs coastal archipelago in Finland. Most times the tours explore the inner archipelago. For most kayakers a visit to the lighthouse requires good weather forecasts for a couple of days and would include at least one overnight stop. 

The original Jussarö lighthouse was located on Jussarö, of which the base is still in place. However it was noted that the lighthouse, even if convenient to maintain, was still too close to treacherous skerries. The first lighthouse on Jussarö was built 1890. The current lighthouse on the Sundharun skerrie, a rock further 4km south of Jussarö in the Gulf of Finland was raised 1922.
